Hi there, I’m the parent and founder behind JuniorStriker, and chances are, I’ve been right where you are now.
Four years ago, when my son, Marko, started football training at the age of six, I never spared a thought for football boots, let alone the right type of studs, the surface, the weather, or even his position. My only focus was getting him to understand which direction to attack and which to defend!
The Catalyst: The Slip That Changed Everything
Marko showed early promise as a goalkeeperl. Tournaments, leagues, and travel became a regular part of our routine, often playing in rain, wind, and on tricky pitches across the country.
I vividly remember a high-stakes tournament final—the Future Champions League. These were 8-year-olds battling it out in a torrential downpour. Marko was saving the impossible, but in one crucial moment, during a tricky turn, he slipped. We conceded the goal. We lost the final.
The loss was tough, but what stuck with me wasn't the goal. It was the regret over that slip and the possibility that it could have been avoided.
The Ever-Changing Game and Our Ongoing Search
Even though the kids went on to win that same tournament two years later, that moment of the slip haunted me. Could it have been prevented?
Since then, Marko's football journey has evolved. Today, he's no longer a goalkeeper; he's a player! His coach often changes his position, switching him from Left Defender to Striker and everywhere in between. This dynamic role means our boot search is still very much alive. We constantly look for versatile footwear that suits both defensive sprints and quick attacking turns.

This ongoing, real-life process—dealing with the need for different studs, preventing blisters, and finding the best fit for my son's ever-changing needs—is what fuelled my obsession.
I quickly realised I wasn't alone. Other parents shared similar frustrations, from recurring blisters to finding the right fit. Exchanging experiences with them was invaluable. That is why I founded JuniorStriker.
